Shire of Klakavirki

Welcome!

Welcome to the website of SCA Shire of Klakavirki. We are the Icelandic chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to studying and recreating mediaeval society between 600AD and 1600AD. The group is based in Akureyri, northern Iceland and is part of the Principality of Insulae Draconis within the Kingdom of Drachenwald

What do we do?

Members take part in many different activities, from arts and crafts such as music, needlework and cookery to period combat styles, both heavily armoured and renaissance fencing. We also have the occasional mediaeval feast, cooked by members of the Shire.

On October 22nd-24th 2010 we will be hosting Álfadans IV, a weekend of A&S, games, singing and combat rounded off with a grand feast in the star light. More information will be available soon ...
